Having problems with the high temp light flashing – fridge starts off cold but then stops cooling.

Engineers have replaced replaced thermistors in Fridge and Freezer(Air&Evap) and have also replaced fan and motor at the bottom of the unit.

Problem still occurs and they have given up on it and written it off today. :rolls: Frustrated I had a look myself and it seems that the blades in the freezer are getting clogged with ice and therefore the fan cannot properly pull the air through them up to the fridge. ❓

When checking the only sensor that they haven’t replaced (Thermal fuse) it was burned out at the connector (white) next to the yellow and green.

I’m guessing that this is preventing the defrost heater from doing it’s job and this is what is causing the fins to block up with ice – am I thinking along the right lines and would it be worth me picking up a new thermal fuse just to check (I think these are about £25 but if anyone knows where I can pick up a cheaper one I would be grateful) 😀

Apologies if this has been posted before – I had a quick look and couldn’t see anything and the search functionality wouldn’t work for me to check further.

    Thanks

    Craig
