Participanti replaced defrost heater on this model and now there is no water coming from the dispenser , it was powered off for about a week customer sayes he only got one glass of water from it since it was plugged back in , i had a look at the supply thats ok,there is power going to one of the solenoids ,right one if you are looking at the back of the m/c , but none to the other one , water also going as far as the filter this model has a fixed filter body inside the top r/h side of the fridge , the red filter light is on also the water bottle in the fridge is not frozen and the ice maker works fine with water dispensing from the tube above the ice cube tray , is there a switch that gives trouble behind the fascia , i’m a bit afraid to try and prise the front cover off the ice/water dispenser area 😐

Did you change the evap cover ? This should have been changed at the same time as the heater as it would be soaked through

wasn’t this the model where the return air vent was adjacent to the water cooler and they froze solid?

Nope ..
If the evap cover hasn’t been changed in the past 12 months then the most probable cause is due to samsung’s inability to actually make an refrigerator which does not have an inherent defect of ” not cooling “.
The evap cover soaks up the water and then freezes and the defrosts and then freezes again causing the problem to eventually come out of the front of the evaperator and freeze anything that is close to the evap cover..Thus the water tank freezes.

Well
It’s simple then..does water comer out of the inlet valve at the rear ? yes then.. disconnect the connection at the bottom of the freezer door, does water come out of there ?. No..then you’ve got a frozen tank.. yes..then you’ve got a frozen door (very much doubt it).
