As I only know about twin tubs and sloping fronts this Indesit WI101UK is a bit of a challenge for me…. 😉

Elderly customer only uses Prog 5 and now when you set it on that prog it starts to fill and the dial clicks around and LED flashes once repeatedly. Any other programme works super smashing so I suggested to the lovely lady that she, in future, chose from the remaining 20 progs left in the box….no brainer perhaps..!!

Would I be not far short of the mark by assuming that the Selector Switch is the guilty party here?

Take the selector out split it and clean the copper tracks and the contact springs that generally cures it if its only one cycle thats giving you grief. Just for ref tho. one flash ( F01) is shorted motor triac ) .Considering other cycles work this is obviously bollocks.

Just as a by-line, they were kinda prone to doing that if the PCB didnt detect level one on the P/S fairly quickly, possibly blocked inlet filter on the solenoid?

The lovely lady has since contacted me to say that she’s well happy with prog4 and turns the stat to 40. Takes 20 mins longer mind you but she’s happy with that. I’m sure the selector switch is at fault but she won’t entertain the cost of replacing it for obvious readons. Thanks anyway….. 😀
