    Hi All,

I live in a ground floor flat but don’t have room for a conventional dishwasher. I’ve been looking in to getting a table top dishwasher instead which would suit my needs. However, I can’t have one hooked up to the mains and wouldn’t be able to have a waste pipe, so this got me thinking.

Is there such a thing that would stand alone without the need for a mains water supply and a waste pipe? I’ve been looking for such a dishwasher (perhaps you fill it with hot water before you switch it in. I’m really surprised at the lack of results when searching the web so wondered if anyone here knew about something like this.

    Cheers for any help.

    P.s I hate doing the dishes 🙂

The only thing I know of that meets your requirements is a washing up bowl. 😉

Any dishwasher has to fill and empty at least twice to wash and then rinse the dishes, therefore it needs a water supply and a waste water outlet to function.

Some table or ‘sink top’ dishwashers are designed to be connected to the sink tap and have a small outlet hose that then drains into the sink.

    Table top dishwasher

I went to a customer who had a table top she bought from Argos (a Bush I think) she had the fill attached to her tap with a hose pipe connector do she could disconnect when not in use and the drain pipe dropped into sink when not in use. Not ideal but it worked for her.

    You mean THIS thing.

So well made it is excluded from their 30 day refund if not happy scheme. :rolls:
