Whirlpool / Ikea DWH B10 – Error Code E8

Hi Guys, My trusty Hotpoint has packed up, with an error code of 8 flashes. It sounded like the pump was trying and kept stopping, with a small clicking coming from the panel. Im guessing its a blockage in the pump probably, but wanted to confirm before taking it to peices. Dont anic, Im an engineer, and my workmate is an Electrical engineer, we pretty much fix anything between us. Why on earth dont they print the error codes in the manual? it would help out both the owners and an engineer to quote for a job before attending. It just reeks of “Let us send our engineer, and charge you the earth.” As a business owner the vlue of quality engineers can never be overlooked, and some things I wont even look at myself, but simple stuff like washing machines etc, its a bloody joke!
