    Hi
    Got one of these in for repair, when powered up drum won’t turn, machine buzzes.. Changed capacitor on motor… Still the same, motor runs fine when belt off.

    Drum seems a bit tight.. But can’t find anything untoward with front or rear bearings

    Any ideas ?

    Sounds like the start winding’s took a hammering due to the cap going down and just won’t take a load…replacement motor me thinks

    What is the drum state when the belt isd off… is it still tight?

    With belt off, drum is not overly tight… Motor doesn’t seem to have a lot of torque in tho !

    Update:

    Turned out to be a faulty “new” capacitor…
    Replaced and now it’s running fine!
