ParticipantTumble dryer season is well underway and this week alone I have fixed a Creda TU12 located in the back garden shed. No room to swing a screwdriver or get at it for all the junk in there. I simply dragged it out and fixed it on the pathway in the rain! (Stretch belt change- s*d of a job at the best of times).
Tuesday, and its another Creda (37749) Condenser in a former ‘coal ‘ole’ at the side of a 1930’s Council house. Again dragged it into the street to replace the TOC’s but couldn’t put it back due to all the cr*p that collapsed within (” oh, my husband will put it back, don’t worry”)
Today, best ever!!!! AEG Lavatherm 330 stacked directly onto…..wait for it…..an ancient Potterton Oiled Fired Boiler in the pantry of an old farmhouse in the middle nowhere. Pitch black, lightbulb gone and surrounded by bags and bags of Eukanuba Dog Biscuits and 400 tins on Iams cat food!
It took 3 of us (me, the customer and her gardener) 10 minutes to clear a space, then lift the machine off the boiler for me to fix it in her grubby pet infested ‘kitchen’……………..!
……I love my job (sometimes)!!!!!!!!!!

Funny we had 2 similar today.
1 was a W/Machine dumped outside the back door as the retailer lent the customer a replacement. Soaking wet and nowhere to test it.
Second was a machine that is housed outside the kitchen window in a purpose built box which was made around the machine & rendered access almost impossible.
Needless to say both machines which were less than 1 year old failed all tests as riddled with damp.
If we get a nightmare scenario, we put a note on the computer and tell the customer if they ever re-book that we will need access.
