Would like to know ye’r professional opinion with regards the major of the miele vacuum cleaner range. Personally from what i have come across, the motors in them are nearly always at fault and if not the motor its the module attached to the motor. Both cost an arm and a leg to buy so it isnt worth your while attempting to fix the hoover as it is cheaper to buy one. If this isnt true and there is a common simple fault that im missing i would gladly like to hear it.

I’ve repaired dozens of them in the past with just a soldering iron, a bad connection of a component which is visibly burnt on the P.C.B. Not seen many recently though as i’m not doing Miele any more.

Yeah the little P.C.B on the motor had a burn’t solder joint, they were always easy to see as there was arcing & resulted in black burning in are of poor connection, simple repair was to clean up & re-solder. Been a few years since i’ve seen them so this may not be the same with current model.
