theres a big blue capacitor on the pcb that sometimes goes down leaving the only thing working the light . Also prone to dry joints on the temp control pcb

i have light and fan working ok,but no compressor, checked pcb no signs of dry joints or blown cap.i have no continuity from any of the wires coming from the defrost stat,is this meant to be like this, other than that suspect starter cap.

it will be o/c if above its actuating temp which is pretty low 0 degrees to maybe-5 ish its usually marked on it. If it’s the start cap on the comp you’ll still get a 220v reading on the comp feed coming from the pcb if your getting 220ac at the compressor its the cap or a winding down on the comp motor.
