Hi Guys just done a bearing change on a Hoover HC6130M UK. While I was testing it, it seemed to have a mind of it’s own !!!. How do you reset these things once you’ve started a program. Anyway I started a wash on prog 7 everything seemed to be ok I’m working on something else & I heard the timer clicking round it started on the rinse on prog 7 moved to the rinses on prog 4 done 1 rinse then went back to the rinses on 7 & then carried on as normal & finished the program. Is this normal. Perplexed from Cyprus. At least it’s quite now & no leaks. Thanks Mack.

Always make sure the On/off button is set to Off before selecting a programme.

Never turn the selector dial anti-clockwise.

If the selector dial is knocked or has been moved after the programme starts then the dial will rapidly turn round through 360 degrees or so.

Thanks Martin I’d got this info online from the instruction manual but it’s not like the Indesit range where you can turn it to the stop position & it will reset.Though like the Indesits if the knob is moved it will travel back to the original position. So how do you reset it. Also as I said in my post (without me touching it) how can it move from the cotton wash rinse to the delicate wash rinse do one rinse then go back to the cotton wash rinses & then finish the program. Thanks Mack.

The Selector Switch being faulty is not unusual.
