Talk to the customer cos if she finds out then the hard way involves replacing the unit and maybe some compo for pain and suffering.

Problem of course now is to prove the initial fault is still the cause of the current problem and not the wrong gas.
What has the cust said since you advised of the problem?
If it were us, I would attempt to refund any fee paid and walk away but technically you need to prove your mistake is now NOT the cause of the current problem, failing which it’s down to you to provide the customer with a level of compensation.

Hi raw
How long did you leave it in vacuum for.
The most probable cause Is a blockage which you should be able to clear with a decent vac pump.Bryan

20 mins vac
as R600a runs mineral oil, R134a needs synthetic wont it balls up the compressor if left on r134 as it dropped to minus 12 fairly quickly but back on r600 wont get below +10March 20, 2012 at 11:25 pm #371459spimps

You could try disconnecting compressor, vac in reverse ie braze a pipe so you can pull through liquid/high pressure side with old larger compressor than origional saves worries with vac pump,if no luck then connect ofn (nitrogen) to low side and add pressure to help shift blockage, don’t go above 8bar or you may damage evaporator, half a days job,is it worth it?

If the refrigerant was only in for a bit then the mix up of refrigerants isnt what the problem is. BUT by using r134a in the system may well have caused a blockage which you could and would be liable. Spend some time on it, leave it on vacuum go and do your next call and then go back to it and try again. I’ve had one where I left it on vac over night to clear a system but it worked and still working 5 yrs down the line

What does the low side read when you are getting 10+ on R600? -
