    hi,
i am having problems with a tenant,
i am sure he is tryinmg to get the machine replaced,
its quite a new electrolux washer dryer and water is coming in to
    the machine when its off,
its dirty water so it must be coming back from the sink.
i have lifted the drain hose up as high as i can but it still fill up.
the problem is when i fill the sink the water doesnt go into the machine.
does anyone know of a non return valve i could fit to the plumbing end to eliminate this problem.

As long as part of the machines waste pipe is higher than the sinks 1 1/2 waste pipe where it exits the building, this will create an air brake and prevent water running/ syphoning back. Might be worth checking the sink waste is running free.

This should do the trick. It should have a non-return valve in it as well. They do get fluffed up over time though.

Make sure you have a 1.5m 19/22mm end drain hose to use with it.
