    i have a pile of the later hotpoint machines with the click clunk door locks
    all with the same fault
    they lock fine but then don’t start up they just sit there locked counting down
    its the wml760 wml540 sort of style machines
    now i know it is a fault with the board as i have changed many of them and it has cleared the fault but does anyone know specifically which piece of the board fails i have been all over them and so far found nothing
    any help would save me from scrapping so many of these late machines

    Hotpoint were doing a relatively good deal on out of guarantee repairs last time I looked so until the board issue is cleared up, it could be worth re-directing customers to them (with appropriate cautions) rather than scrapping newish machines.

    these are my own recons so would ideally like to be able to repair this very common fault myself without sending them to emw as that puts them too expensive to do for me
