ParticipantI have a Bosch SGS5002GB/07
All seems fine initially.
Drains first ok
then fills the bowl with fresh water ok
However that’s as far as it gets.
A fair bit of clicking but no water is getting squirted around inside. The base is warm in the back right So I’m guessing the heater is ok.
Cleaned the filters, removed and cleaned all the plastic tubes and spray rails which in truth were all pretty clean anyway.
Removed the top plastic cover over the impeller which was ok.
Impeller turns with a finger.Any ideas?

Very likely the main circulating pump has seized I would think?
Disconnect the power, remove the right hand side panel to expose the motor. Try to rotate the motor’s central rotor (the thing with the cooling fins sticking out)with your finger. It should turn in any direction easily, I suspect it will be seized solid and evidence of corrosion and/or leakage from it will not be hard to find. 😥
Hope I’m wrong…. 😉

Martin you are 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} correct.
Good call !!OK, so what now?
Can the motor/pump be replaced?
Is it economically viable, as apart from this problem the washer itself has been very good? Not obvious how to remove it but I’ve not delved too deep as yet.
Cheers

It’s a 50/50 chance that the pump can be successfully repaired. Needs expert intervention in dismantling the machine just to access the pump let alone fix it!
I’ve repaired dozens over the years very successfully. But by the same token have dismantled many only to realise the pump shaft too rusted to fix and only a new motor will cure but too costly to bother.
If you’re up for a challenge I wish you every success but would advise seeking the help of your local independent engineer……. 😀
