    I recall reading on here that the motor plugs on late hotpoint washers can be problematic.Can anyone tell me what symptoms duff motor plug connections normally cause ?

    they cause the machine not to start, by not allowing the door lock to work.

    Ahh thanks, So would be unlikely to make a M/c cut out mid cycle ?

    Very unlikely, instead it would just throw up an error code.
