ParticipantHi
Having set this unit on a 65c programme it will fill and do cold prewash. At end of prewash it will empty to start the hot wash. But once empty the drain pump and circulation pump then start to cycle on/off. No water enters into machine. the active light on display flashes off for a split second when the pumps change over.
Reset programme and you can start the programme again but the same happens ofter 15minsOn quick wash it appears to work ok as per customer ❓
I feel that it is thinks that it is not fully drained but not sure what it uses to detect level of water for drain
Can anyone advise on what may be wrong
many thanks
Geoff

Might be worth asking if it heats up? Some bsh dw can be picky on heating. Cold pre wash then drains then would not go further suggest heating problems.
Have you done insulation test? 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time it will pick up faults if it’s the heater.

Hi
Yes it heats up ok on quick wash and no problems on insulation test.
It is at the point where it empties to start to fill for the hot wash that it all goes wrong.
Both motors just sit there in turn switching on and off and no water goes ingeoff

My guess is that check for blockages, pressure switch, all the contact points. Providing you have checked it all out, then it may be worth looking at PCB?
Sounds like an auto drain out when it detected a leak, I presume that there’s no leak on the base. The detergent dispenser had been known to cause weird fault.
If you have tried all of the basics, and only quick wash works, then it suggests PCB problem.
I even had a dw that baffled me and it was all righted itself by simply pulling the plug out and leave for ten mins.

Bear this in mind, they may be able to help if it is the module board.

While you’re there replace the IMPELLOR JUG (Part No 424099) 😉
