    Hi
    I hope someone can help me with a dishwasher problem. I have an indesit idl 530. It’s about a year old and the first problem was that on the eco program it wouldn’t heat up. We just used different programs. Now, when you switch it on, it drains, refills then constantly stays on the prewash program, won’t move on to a wash. Is there anything I can try to get it going again?

    Are any lights flashing on the front when it stops?

    The main circulation pump and heater are known to cause problems on these machines, the electronics are not great either. 🙁

    It doesn’t stop. The pump seems ok, all the water is circulating and it fills and empties ok. Just doesn’t move on from the prewash. Thnaks again

    No none of the lights are on except the first light when it’s in prewash but that is not flashing

    No easy answers then without error codes. 🙁

    How long have you left it on stuck on prewash for?

    The only way forward is for the machines various components to be visually and electrically tested, with the mains plug removed of course.

    I’ve left it on prewash for up to an hour and i just won’t change.
    I think it’s time to get a new one. I reckon it will cost anything upwards of £50 to get someone to come and look at it and reading on this forum, it still might break again.
