ParticipantHi guys,
My ADG994 is stuck on drain. If I leave it long enough the start button light flashes on and off. Eventually it just shuts down. If I restart it, it immnediately tries to drain again. The thing is there is no water visible to be drained – it has drained already! The instruction for restarting is to hold the start button for a few seconds and then when the machine stops to hit the button again. But it will not stop draining no matter what I do.
Anything I can check before I throw the towel in and call an engineer?

Sounds like the anti flood device has been activated in the base of the machine. Try tipping the machine forward slightly and see if water drains out the corners.
Count the number of flashes from the start button, it will flash a number of times, pause, then repeat (over and over again). Let us know and this will give us a pointer to the problem.PLEASE PULL THE PLUG FIRST

my machine is also stuck on drain, if i leave it on the start light flashes continuously, ive tried pressing the start button to reset but it just carries on draining, ive taken off the 2 sides and i cant seem to find a sensor to measure water level, if i put water inside it pumps it out immediately, where is this so called flood sensor?, any help would be appreciated, maybe i need a new dishwasher???

Is there any water in the base of the dishwasher ?
You should also be able to count the flashes from the start light as DP mentions above.

there is no water in the base, ive taken off the base panel as well now and there doesnt appear to be a sensor there, the start light is flashing constantly, not a set number of times and repeating

Sounds like a single flash being repeated. Error code F1 which is a fault with the NTC. Please remember, the fault codes are only a guide to the fault. You could end up fitting parts that aren’t required. Always the best bet, get an engineer in and he’ll be able to sort it out for you.
