    Hi everyone!

    We have a problem with a Hotpoint HM315NI integrated fridge freezer. the compressor is constantly on and as a subsequence the fridge section is always too cold / iced up. The veges end up being frozen! The stat is set to 1 and I have checked for correct closure / sealing etc of the door. I am constantly turning the compressor off by switching it off via the stat switch.

    Any ideas? Could it be the stat?

    OK Thanks Martin – will replace it! I think it’s an odd stat – a generic one won;t fit as I recall..

    We have the same problem and tried 2 new thermostats from Hotpoint which have not solved the problem. Did you sort yours out?
