    Hi there,

    I’m hoping someone can help. I just moved into a new flat which came with a Hotpoint Mistral Plus. It is the noisest FF I have ever heard! The bedroom shares an adjoining wall with the space where the FF has to be in the kitchen. I have moved it away from the wall but it is still very noisy. I think it is the compressor which runs continually – should it be running the whole time?

    Hi Kate,

    If it’s a frost free, about 70-90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time it will be running I’m afraid.

    There could be a fault on it making it noisy though.

    Hi there,

    Thanks – yes it is a frost-free – but it has been noisier than normal.

    A quick follow up – I guess it would be a bad idea to switch the machine off overnight so I can get some sleep?

    I have a Hotpoint Mistral Plus, the problem is the fridge gets up to +14 plus, empty the fridge then it starts working, load up the fridge then 2 weeks later it stops working.

    What can I do?
