Hotpoint WD72 only works after the 5th attempt?

Hi guys. Any advice would be much appreciated.

After moving house, I connected up the machine and starting a wash.
After 10 mins it started beeping with error code E11 (check water supply).
I removed the pipes from the machine end, and supply was ok.
I tried again, getting the same problem and error code.
Eventually I realised that where I connected the outlet under the sink, it had never had a machine plumbed in before, so therefore didn’t have the end sawn off to allow the water into the u-bend. I know, doh! :boops:
I’m guessing this is where something when wrong in the machine.

So I sawed the end off, and reconnected everything, thinking I’d sorted it.

Now on every wash, this is the process I encounter:-
Start. stops at 10 mins with code E11.
Try again. stops at 10 mins with code E11.
Try again. stops at 10 mins with code E11.
Try again. stops at 10 mins with code E11.
Try again. immediately get code “check door lock”.
So I tap the door, and it starts. And bingo!! It completes the wash.

Incidentily, it has never had a good flow of water into the main detergent draw, so I put tablets in with the clothes.
And I feel the washing doesn’t smell as “fresh” as it did before.

So…….any ideas guys. I’d really appreciate some advice. This thing is driving me crazy having to restart it after 10mins, 5 times before it completes a wash. 😕
