I sussed it! And this is how it`s done= to replace rotted membrane p/swt rubber.Disasemble the the two halves of the metal p/swt casing by very carefully prizing the sealing flange open, then seperate both halves having marked the alignment of both halves ready for when reassembled. You then get a compass and a peice of paper card, measure the inside diameter of the body of the p/swt chamber, find half then using the compass draw a cirle on the card. Then draw another inner circle so that you have ring of about 6mm but no more wider, cut out the middle bit of the card with a stanley knife then using a rubber latex glove-surgical type- cut this glove so you have a sheet but this will be a bit crinkled so put in near boiling water and this makes it more flat, like a sheet. Glue the latex sheet to the paper card ring and very slightly stretch it-allow to dry. Then cut off all excess sheet from around the outside of the paper card neatly and run a bead of glue around it`s paper card face.Fit into the body of the p/swt,refit the mesh trigger on top of the latex membrane, glue the other card face and then very carefully refit the metal other half of the p/swt casing to the alignment mark you made so everything is aligned, this is very important as there is no going backwards if you mess this up. Then using a good pair of small jewellery type pliers re bend over the metal flange, then to make sure to run a bead of glue around the circumference of where you`ve just recrimped the flange .Allow the glue to set. gently reassemble the micro swt`s ontop . Blow into the your newly assembled p/swt and it will now click the micro swith without any air loss and therefore it will now turn the valve off when it is filling up with water.Glue used is rubber/metal glue that we use i.e. Bostik.
Hope this helps anybody else in the same position with an obsolete part. This as you all know is a triumph of revolutionary thinking!!
