I live in rented accommodation and the landlord is not shall we say eager to repair and replace defective goods in the flat! There is a built in Firenzi fridge freezer in the kitchen – its a small model – model number 3sr921/1. Since I have been there the freezer door has been loose and it gets quickly over full with ice freezing over the edge. It finally fell off the hinge snapping after defrosting which have to do regularly because of the loose door….

I can’t find a spare door online and don’t know if spare door is required or better to replace the hinge and screws? Would a door from another manufacturer be ok? I can’t find a Firenzi website either. On limited budget so can’t afford to get a repair man out myself. I have had to tape it all round and not buy frozen food. I can post pictures.

    Hi

If this fridge was supplied with the accomodation then I would contact the landlord to have the fridge repaired or replaced.

It’s a Whirlpool made appliance and the spares are not cheap to purchase, for instance the door alone on Amazon is £97 :eeek: hinge kit is around £20, not to mention the other side fixings 😉 If it is your own fridge I would seriously consider replacing it rather than buying parts.

    HTH 🙂

    Don
