ParticipantI appreciate that I am inexperienced in this trade and I don’t want to teach my granny to suck eggs but hoping this will help somebody.
I got given a Servis 1500 RPM (that’s all it says on it), it was reported as dead and sure enough no matter what program was selected the machine didn’t fill or do anything else for that matter.
The program selector switch consists of a series of surface mount 3k3 resistors soldered to a small pcb with a wiper that selects a different part of the resistance chain depending on the selected program.
The PCB was filthy, I cleaned it and the wiper and the machine now works fine.
Again, you guys probably come across this all the time but I hope it helps someone.

Look behind the filter cover for the model number (should begin M?????) 😉

You’re right Martin!
It’s an M6500
Any idea where I might find a user manual?
I’ve trawled the web but to no avail.

Well I got given the machine and had I not repaired it it would end up on the scrap heap (you could argue that’s where it belongs) It now works perfectly and I’m sure I will be able to sell it on to somebody who can’t afford a new machine.
I always like to supply a user manual with every machine I sell hence the request.

Thanks for this contact…I will call them in the morning.I really don’t like supplying machines without a manual, I find most people are only interested in doing a basic wash but you’re always going to get one buyer that wants to know everything!
