Only 2 to 3 years old, it’s already on borrowed time. Not recognised error codes so it suggests either a heater earth fault or pcb’s goosed.

Just had a ‘very’ quick glance through that thread Mike. Which post in particular refers to all lights flashing on an Indesit dishwasher?

IWDC6105 is a wash/dryer, the Dryer NTC sometimes shorts to earth and will cause strange faults so I would start with testing this and poss the one in the wash heater.

Well, it’s not a dishwasher after all but anyway that thread is worth a very detailed reading by all and could even still be relevant now, even for this machine. You need to read between the lines and learn. You don’t learn by having the answers handed to you on a plate!
I was talking to a chap this very afternoon (not a customer) who, when he found out I repair washers said, “So do I.”
He asked me if I’d heard of EMW. 😆 .
He then related what a very good service they had provided to him a few years ago and how when his washer failed again after a couple of years they had immediately said, “Oh, it won’t be the board this time. Our boards don’t go wrong again. That’ll be the brushes.” (Which was correct.) He said, “You guys must be pee’d off with them taking so much of your business.” 😯
It’s OK for those of us near retirement to slow down learning new stuff (but not stop entirely.) But for those still saddled with responsibilities, learning is the only way they’re gonna stay in business.

Whoa, steady on there, pull back on those calipers. 😀
It was a genuine question Mike, I thought I was missing something specific relating to Indesit dishwashers, irrespective of whether or not this machine was washer or dishwasher. 😉
If I was due to retire next week, ( which I am not ) I would still be taking in anything and everything that could help me. 😛
There are times though when pressure of work or time make EMW a very valuable resource. 8)

Oh, come on Jim, I know you love your job but you could afford to slow down a bit and try some new things. How about fishing? 😆 Leave a bit of work for the rest of us 🙂 .

What is the best way to test the NTC and will it work with out it. can it be by passed to see if that is the fault. Les

it wont work without it if i am not mistaken if you short it out the resistance will be to low cant find my notes to tell you the reading for ntc well its p–ing it down so i dont want to go to my van but someone out there will know , they are very cheap go and buy one its worth it

Usually it’s the connection getting disturbed or broken inside the wire at the business end because it’s jumping about all the time the drum’s turning especially during spin.
If it isn’t connection, you can test the ntc by watching the resistance change as you warm it up. But probably cheap enough to change it anyway. I think Merloni ones used to be about 25k at 20C last time I looked about 5 yrs ago. That’s the wash ones.

I always save a few old but good NTC’s from duff wash heater changes, although the rating will not be the same, plugging the connector into a known good NTC is a quick way to eliminate the one on the machine as a source of the fault.
I am knowhere near throwing in the towel, can’t afford to TBH. 😉
And as for fishing, no chance, I love to eat fish ( cooked a couple of fresh Sea Bass fillets for tea tonight, mmmn ) but there is no way you would catch me sat on my arse for hours waiting for a tug on the line and then throwing the bloody thing back as soon as I had caught it.
Still managing my three games of squash a week. 8)Jim.
