Bosch Exxcel 1200 WFO2465GB/01 – I removed the rear cover to check other fault and cannot figure out how to put it back on.

When I removed the rear cover, I just took out the one screw holding it on and popped it loose. I didn’t pay much attention to how it was positioned. Trying to refit it makes no sense whatsoever. I’ve looked all around the machine and cannot find any loose bits that might have been holding the cover on.

Basically, it’s an upside down pear shape with a notch at the bottom where it meets the screw that holds it in place. 1/4 of the way up on both sides, there’s an indentation that looks like it might go under fit a lug of some sort on the unit but nothing there. About 4″ from the top on both sides, there’s a notch in the cover which again seems to serve no purpose as is.

I’ve tried positioning the cover in umpteen different ways and nothing seems to work even halfway. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Silver side outwards – with the bottom slightly out carefully lock the two top indentations (notches) into the back hole area of cabinet. Then gently push the bottom forward until the screw cut out lines up with the screw hole in the back of the cabinet. Put screw in and tighten up.

Its abit tricky but if you look, there are two pop marks near where the top notches fit in the cabinet. The biggest problem is lining up the screw hole at the bottom but persist and you’ll get there.

    Thanks, Dales-Electonic. I’ll give that a shot.
