ParticipantTapatalk is well short of the mark in spite of several, almost monthly up-dates, both for Apple and Android I have found. And I was wondering if any of you Tapa-tappers have made similar observations?
Lock-ups , time-outs and errors whilst posting/replying to topics, difficulty using search. Apple fairs better than Android but only by a short head. Tablet users best resort is avoiding the app and going via normal browser access. £2.99 for Apple HD app is less than the cost of a pint but doesn’t swallow so smoothly! 😕

I’m using it on an iPhone 4 and haven’t had any of the issues you mention.

I find it great on the BlackBerry too. I didn’t know it existed until recently.

:hmm: OK using iPad replying to posts very often it gives a ‘unable to access server” type error and asks if I wish to ‘discard’ it or some such nonsense. Then press discard and it posts it anyway. Likewise a similar error using Android except there is tells me I cannot post so soon after posting and suggests too that I discard it.
Probably just me using hi-tech electronic communication devices out here in the back woods when I should stick to smoke signals. I would be happy to accept that explanation except when I use those same devices via the normal ‘browser method’ I get no errors whatsoever. Hence my post!

I have had on occasion can’t post, too done since last post. I try again and it goes. Sounds like you may be having reception problems.

Hmm? It’s possible I suppose though I am virtually sat alongside my WiFi hub showing full strength signal most of the time.
On further investigation it appears Tapatalk HD is when most errors occur. I’m using it now on my chewed Apple iPad3 just to see how this post fairs? ….here goes…….

Ah, now it’s playing up again. When I hit the SEND tab when replying to a post a blue error box message comes up :-
“SYSTEM MESSAGE
The file
/var/www/HTML/ukwhitegoods.co.uk/HTML/forumsphpbb3/styles/hybrid/template/bbcode.html is missing.OK”
I then press OK and it sends the post anyway…….very odd!

Me neither so I’ve just deleted the app, rebooted my iPad then reloaded the app again. Hopefully that will solve the problem?
