ParticipantHi,
Our 2 year old Bosch Clasixx 1200 has started to continually fill with water via the softener tray! Even when no cycle is active or started it is filling. Drain works fine but it just fills up again!
I can’t get the model number as I can’t open the door.
We have high mains pressure around here so I wonder if a valve may be at fault. The PCB seems oblivious.
Any help much appreciated!
Cheers, Chris

Hi
It needs a new water inlet valve, to stop it filling just turn the water tap off.
Enr number required to help you any further.

From the UKWG shop:
http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/advanced … 0&x=22&y=2
Power OFF if your’re going to delve in.

Thanks for that.
That link comes up with two fill valves – neither have my model associated with them. Can someone confirm which one is good? I would rather buy from here given the help I’ve received.
Thanks, Chris

That’s definately the correct part number. It would be impossible to list ALL the machines it fits which why there is the option to email the shop to confirm the part. There is no need to as this IS the correct part. The top one is Genuine Bosch, the second one is Quality Pattern Part.
If you’re not sure about partern parts think of it this way. If your car is not serviced by a dealer but a local garage – chances are it’s serviced with pattern parts.
You pick and then buy it from the shop – Great service

Hi All,
I’ve replaced the filler valve (magnetic-valve) but still the same problem. Just continually fills whether program set or not.
Any ideas appreciated.
Thanks, Chris

Main circuit board at fault by the sound of it. If the machine fills with the power to the machine switched on it’s the board. If the machine fills with no power on it’s the valve.

Bugger. Is it worth replacing? Should I rule anything else out before replacing pcb or buying new?
Thanks for help so far.

I’ll let you decide. The part costs £95 and is available at Bosch’s eShop (part no: 668828) http://www.bosch-home.co.uk/store/spareparts/search

Well it was the board 😕 looks like an inductor in the middle of the board had blown.
Anyway, thanks again for all your help – amazing forum! 8)
