Fisher & Paykel smart drive 9 pride 5.5

Hi there, would appreciate some help.

I have a Fisher & Paykel smart drive 9 pride 5.5. After loading and turning on power, I pressed start and it sprayed water for 2 seconds then stopped for 4 seconds. It repeated this about 20 times then stopped all together. The function lights all went off except for long wash and short wash and this was accompanied with a frequent single tone beeping. My initial reaction was overloading or unbalanced load, but it usually has a multi-tone melody chime in that instance. I unloaded it anyway and re-loaded half the volume taking extra care to make it balanced, but the same thing happened. Any advise would be appreciated.
