ParticipantHi Guys
I have an Indesit K642VS/G with a dead oven.
I know I have power to the timer but there doesn’t seem to be any power coming out of the timer to the oven control unit.
Is it possible a new timer will fix it?Thanks

Email Dave for a price on spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk as its often a cheaper option. 😉
I’d agree with Martin though.

Hi Guys
I’ve just received the new timer, but it’s not an exact match to the old one. The terminals on the rear are different, two on one side marked No1 and two on the other marked No2.
I don’t want to blow it before I can use it!
Can anyone help with the proper connections ?Thanks
Don

Hi Guys
I’ve got the oven going, so thank you for the help on that.
Unfortunately I’ve now got another problem, 2 of the gas rings go out immediately after ignition.
As soon as you release the knob they go out. I’ve tried holding the knob in longer sometimes this does the trick but mostly they still go out.
If anyone can help I’d be very grateful – my wife is going nuts :rolls:Thanks

The Fail Safe Device (FSD) needs replacing. That involves breaking into the gas supply line and best left to a fully qualified ‘Gase Safe’ registered engineer to sort it for you.
