ParticipantMy Indesit IDF125 is showing a green flashing light under the start/pause button. It’s quite slow. No other lights lit. No other action of any kind. Just a flashing light.
The Indesit technical helpline is utterly useless. Told me they only had the same manual I had which doesn’t cover this problem. They helpfully went for the “switch it off and on again” option which did nothing. The people on the technical helpline also tell me they are not technically trained. Rather a pointless service. All I wanted to know is – is it worth a call out or is my machine dead.
I’m hoping someone on here might be a spot more efficient and if there’s an easy fix I’d love to hear it.

What you will get here is an honest opinion of the Italian owned, Polish made appliance. :rolls:
When you say the light under the start/pause button do you mean the Salt indicator light which is directly under the Start button, or do you mean one of the three lights just to the left of the salt button.
If you do and the green END light is flashing then you have a thermistor ( temp sensor) problem.
It could be a faulty thermistor, loose or broken wiring ( very cheap, thin wiring in the door harness in particular ) or a fault in the main PCB. The thermistor appears to be hard wired into the pcb.

Sorry iadom – I added an element of confusion. It’s the light next to the Start/Pause button. The one that comes on solid green when the machine is working.
I’ve tried various things to make it reset itself but have failed thus far.

That light is a heater timeout error, (alledgedly).
One of many common faults on these, most likely cause is an open circuit heater. 🙁

Hope your daughter’s gig was good.
Thanks for the advice. Sounds like I might need to get someone out to take a look at it unless it’s an easy fix?

Gig was very good thanks.
The heater on these is built into the main pump housing, not difficult to get at to test from underneath but not easy to change. Be sure to pull the plug if you intend to have a look or check out our ‘Find an engineer’ link at the top of the page, under the Search button. 😉

Thanks so much. I think I might just look for an engineer!
