Is there a repair kit for the ice dispenser flap (not the ice dispenser lever) for this model SRS2028CSS? As one of the lugs on the plastic moulding on the door has broken off so the flap won’t close properly.

Samsung did make a mod kit it was just a small U shaped clip you had to super glue on.

It was never very successful and the only way to repair it was a new freezer door.

I have had better success with an electrical cable clip you can supper glue the clip on and also use a small screw to give it extra strength.

If you need the mod try Brian R600a to see if he has any left as I do not think they are available now.

If Brian has not got any let me know and I will search my van to see if I have any left.

    Hi Bob

it’s the flap not the lever that he’s got broken.

I have the Round disk assembly in stock but there is no modification for the ice disk.

The mod that Bob mentioned is where the lever breaks off and there is a small horse shoe shaped plastic and new lever kit available for that fault.

It’s the lug that holds the freezer flap (round disc)in place at one side that has broken. Would the repair kit for the lever adapt to repair the ice flap lug instead?
