ParticipantDoes anyone do coffee machine repairs or does anyone know of anyone who does training on them? As they are getting more and more popular and some are as expensive as a washing machine . 😐

Good luck most of them are a waste of time, as the punters who buy them hassle hassle hassle, i refuse to do them for Ide{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}^$t now as there is no back up and nobody knows how to fix them when they go tits up.

For built in ones, yes. But, they’re a pig to work on.
For freestanding ones the issue is spares for them but some, yes, you are correct could well be worth repairing. Some of the better ones are over £1000 easily.

We been fixing a few Neff ones recently, my favorite part is testing them with fresh coffe beans! Good earners but can be a pain stripping down. Training? Just get in there and you will soon learn!

And, once more with feeling… the problem with Miele is… 😉
I know you can get Jura parts, tech support I’ve not tackled.
Most of the usual built in ones will originate in China I expect and likely be much of a muchness.
The rest I’ve not looked at TBH.

I’ve been doing a few commercial machines until I was told that they come under pressurised vessel regulations for which a qualification is required and the owner needs to have them tested for soundness.

The last Neff one I did was spewing water out everywhere, customer was prepared to buy a new one,£1100, I said let’s have a look first, customer said he had had an engineer look at and they condemed it. I said let me have a look, if I can’t fix it then I wouldn’t charge him, well I took it in to workshop and after removing a thousand screws and plastic it turned out to be a small reinforced pipe, £6 for new one and job done, I kept it in the workshop for a week for testing and I had fresh ground coffee every 20 minutes! Was sad to see it go back!

Just a coincidence, Miele have stopped selling their Titanium range of appliances and they were selling them off, I just bought a CVA5060 for £228 + vat !!! Retail is £1800, wife thinks i have bought it for us, it will be up for sale as soon as it arrives, but what a bargain!
