Hi All.
I’ve got a Teka Microwave / Combi Oven – MW 32 BIT, which has an hidden history! 😕
A customer has had this for a couple of years (scarily) and it has developed a fault – so she said.
The problem she reported was that it no longer operated when she closed the door – when she showed me that she couldn’t see the switch inside the right hand apature I realised that it was either broken or out of place.
Off came the top panel and there it was loose – so that side was easy… so easy!!
BUT – on the left side the two microswitches were lying taped together behind the controls – not being operated by anything.
Frighteningly – she said – I always thought it was funny that I could open the door and the microwave continued running – turntable and all!! :eeek:
My problem is now this… I can see that these two microswitches can only fit on the cradle one way – but now when I close the oven door it shorts the electricity – not just an rcd but the circuit breaker.
So I’m wondering if the wiring has been altered on the microswitches – and if it has does anybody have a drawing or a clue on what is meant to be where please?
