    I understand you shouldn’t extend a power cable by using an extension cable but what is the approved way of doing this if your cable is a foot or two short? The load on this machine (a Miele G1222SC dishwasher) is 2200W.

    B&Q sell the approved connector thats made for this purpose also the cable you use must be of the same rating . under NO circumstances should you use a choc-block or tape the wires together ive had to call to inspect 3 house fires due to this in the past .

    Thanks captaincaveman. There is nothing on their website that I can find. Do you know what they are called? Are they generally available? If so, I have a Screwfix nearby which would be more convenient.
