Zanussi ZWD 12270 problem

I have a problem with my Zanussi ZWD 12270 washing machine. A couple of weeks ago on a 95 degree wash, the machine stopped mid cycle and refused to empty, spin or rinse. This was the first time I’d ever used this hot wash.

A neighbour kindly emptied machine, cleaned filter and connection to sink waste, and machine then carried on working fine. Until today that is, when I decided to do another 95 degree wash and the same thing occured.

The one difference this time is that same neighbour has been in and did all he did first time round, but machine just will not work. There are no error codes and the wash/pause button is flashing green.

I’m wondering if this is likely to be a fairly minor,easily and relatively cheap to fix problem for an engineer, or if it is more likely to be something more major and costly? Only I’m going to be moving soon and having a new kitchen fitted in the new place, so don’t really want an expensive repair or have a new machine as I’d rather wait till new kitchen is designed and go from there.

I should add I have no technical knowledge whatsoever, am a typical female who gets in a flap when things go wrong so would need to call somebody out to deal with any problems/solutions if viable.
