Had a snapped handle which i replaced. At same time took the electric doorlock out, gave it a cleanup and replaced in shell. Ran a wash and operated fine. Door released correctly. Ran a second wash and cycle stopped 20 minutes in with door lock (De) error. Door opens and shuts fine but wash now wont start due to ‘De’ showing.
Should i be looking at replacing the electric lock as well please? UK WHitegoods suggested i post on here for suggestions before ordering.

Check that the plug hasn’t come off the lock as they have a habit of coming adrift.

Plug was nice and secure but thanks for the suggestion.
So i bought the part, replaced the other one, and its STILL showing door error. Ive turned the mains off, left it 5 minutes, left it overnight, refitted both parts again but still getting “De”.

ANy further help out there please?????

There’s a checklist on the fault codes for LG washing machines here…

Sometimes the board can be fried due to it. 🙁

Re: LG washing machine door lock help

Thanks for help. Both parts fitted correctly and working but still coming up “de”. Noticed some blacking of the contacts on the electric block that attaches to the door catch though. Would that relate to a pcb issue? Are they worth doing or is it time for a new washer?
