There is a little bit of wear on the seal as can be seen above the tip of my finger. It doesn’t look as though the seal is compromised though, what do you think ?

A bit of wear/deterioration,no worries yet though,maybe a note in your diary to check again in 3 or 6 months.
It’s part of the flange but doesn’t affect the integrity of the seal.
