ParticipantDrum is turning, fan working but no heat.Have checked out heater cct.Thermostats both closed, heater elements sound(44ohms)and cct ok to the programmer, but no volts. This suggests a problem with the Eaton programmer. It looks OK,no signs of burning. Is it able to be serviced? Any ideas on where to look next greatfully accepted.

You have checked all the stats I assume.

Hi iadom
I have found only the two in series with the heater elements on rear panel. Are there more?June 13, 2012 at 11:41 am #376406iadom

Yes. The blow up diagram is not that clear for this model, on most of them the other stat is in the door surround , not to clear where the third stat is on this, usually around the front of the machine though.

Hello iodom
Had a further hunt around. The only wireing to the front of the machine is to the door switch(working OK).How can I get sight of the Wireing Diagram?

We hardly ever get to see them either, I was talking of a parts blow up, all of which are copyright material so will not be published in open forum.
Not to familiar with this exact machine but its safe to say there is another stat in there somewhere, it can sometimes be an exhaust stat, located in the warm air outlet area.

Found the third thermostat. As you suggested it was monitoring the air duct.Meter showed it closed. As I now had the drum out I traced the wireing(not easy as it was all the same colour, pink!)produced a circuit diagram, pulling off terminals as I went to check continuity. When I had finished I found I had 30ohm across the supply.Plugged in and low and behold heater now working! There are 18 connectors in the heating cct so not too surprising one or two dodgy in time.So the moral is if heater fails and thermos and elements are OK check all the connections. Thanks for your help.
