Hi guys, hope yu can help.
Our machine has recently been refusing to complete its cycle. It will do an initial short slowish spin but then as it starts its main spin it stops and just seems to hang. It will also appear to go into pause mode (led flashing) but you can’t un-pause it. If you power-down then re-power the machine, select the same program but then skip to the final spin it will (most of the time) then do the proper spin and sound its “I’m finished” bleeps. It can sometims take 2 or 3 goes to get it to do this!
I read on other websites that a faulty or bocked pressure switch can cause this. It does drain OK. I’ve removed the pressure switch and blown down the tube, that seems clear.I’ve blown into the prssure switch which clicks at 3 different pressures (although I haven’t done a continuity check on the contacts, the fact it works sometimes could be a pain to identify this way).
The filter is clean and has never had a blockage.
Am I barking up the wrong tree about the pressure switch? I was also advised it may be going off balance but this problem is consistant with different loads. The machine is level and has worked fine in its current home for the last 2 years.
Any ideas gratefully accepted. Thanks.
PS. Any way I can turn off/reduce those “finished” bleeps? They’re really annoying!
