I went to a washing machine just over a month ago and replaced the drain hose, as it had been chewed into by a rodent.
Not very common for a washing machine, I thought – I’ve seen it a few times in dishwashers, but assumed that was down to the smell of food detritis inside the hose.

Anyway, I’ve just had a call from the Letting Agents informing me the problem has happened again.
They’ve waited until pest control gave them the all-clear before calling me, so it should be ok now to replace it again, BUT ……

The Landlord has told them he’s heard you can get rodent proof drain hoses, so could I get one of them for it?

❓ Does anyone know of such an item ❓
If so, please can you share the details?
    Thanks,
    Pigpen.

    Total ballcocks!

There ain’t such a thing lest it be shielded in steel…!

The same goes for inlet hoses, internal hoses and electrical wiring looms. Therefore THE problem is down to the landlord to eradicate the vermin or tough shoosh for him!
