zanussi ZI 921/8ff integrated fridgefreezer

Hi all,I have the above fridgefreezer to sort out,both fridge and freezerare not cooling,the compressor comes on spiradically for short periods and evaporator cools a little and then compressor cuts out without reaching required temp. Evaporator is not clogged with ice and the fan is working.Havn’t looked at the rear of the unit yet as its built in and was full of food and customer had to go out so I didnt have much time.There was two thermistors sighted just above the evaporator is there any way of checking to see if they could be the fault? also whats the best way of remooving the control panel cover thats between fridge and freezer in the middlde front without doing damage.Any advice or help as to what to check / look out for is much appreciated.
