ParticipantIm currently working on a Bosch slimline dishwasher.
Symptoms were the dishwasher carried on forever so I sent the board away for repair & have refitted it.
The machine still has no supply to the element & continues washing for ever in cold water!
Any ideas would be greatfully recieved!

First off, welcome to the forums, I guess you are a newbie?
You didn’t enlighten us on the model number (Enr no) so try to do that next time you post a question as it does help obviously.
I presume you have checked if you are getting 240v to the element and that the element is OK?

2 things I would check are:
Is the overheat stat tripped and if so is the NTC ok? (both are located in the black/grey unit mounted on top of the heater box (overheat one side and NTC the other)
Is the pressure switch on the end of the heater getting power?Jem

Hi Jem.. Thanks for that
There is a microswitch on the end of heater box which closes (continuity) when machine has water in it.. So that seems ok..
I can see a stat type object on top of the heater box which seems to be open circuit (no continuity) but Ive checked this against another Bosch dishwasher & that is the same so Im presuming this is correct!
What is the NTC?.. What does it look like?

The stat type object as you describe it contains both the NTC and the overheat stat – I cant remember which side is which but there should be 2 connectors each with 2 wires going to it, the connector with the thicker wires which should be wired in line with the heater is the over temp stat and should NOT be open circuit, the other side is the NTC which should give a resistance value (not short circuit or open circuit but can’t remember exactly what).

I’ve never ever had any probs with the t/stat OR the thermistor (NTC) on the heater box. No volts to the miroswitch and neutral return (as the PCB is switched on the neutral) then it’s a duff PCB every time! 😉

I’ve had a couple of this range of machines where the thermistor has gone open circuit and then caused the overheat stat to trip.
