is60 idesit dryer

    its blowing the stat at back after a few weeks, 1st time i cut the vent down as it was kinked but its gone off again, told her not to open door half way though, anything else could be doing it?

    as in if the drum was not turning? think its turning fine as far as i know

    It was just a thought because if the motor fails to turn then the fan stops but the heater doesn’t and the TOC goes as a consequence. During the summer months (ha! ha!) the ambient temperature plays havoc with capacitors so their failing in this way is commonplace, as you are probably very aware about anyway. A sluggish capacitor, coupled with a full load after several previous dry cycles = the possible answer to your problem? But for what they cost I suggest you stick one in anyway, just for the hell of it!

    Also, with customers that flog the life out of these dryers without stopping it is worth fitting auto reset TOC’s. I do, especially in student accommodation. 😉

    Sorry to hijack but Martin, I used to get the auto reset but can’t find them now. Have you got a part no.?

    auto reset ? thought it was just a stat kit? will stick a cap on see if that helps
