It was just a thought because if the motor fails to turn then the fan stops but the heater doesn’t and the TOC goes as a consequence. During the summer months (ha! ha!) the ambient temperature plays havoc with capacitors so their failing in this way is commonplace, as you are probably very aware about anyway. A sluggish capacitor, coupled with a full load after several previous dry cycles = the possible answer to your problem? But for what they cost I suggest you stick one in anyway, just for the hell of it!
Also, with customers that flog the life out of these dryers without stopping it is worth fitting auto reset TOC’s. I do, especially in student accommodation. 😉
