    Hi all,

    My Diplomat 8132 dishwasher is not cleaning the dishes. Initially it gave a warning light which meant that the element has tripped and thanks to the help on this forum I reset the thermometer and the element started working. However it still didn’t clean properly, and after some observation I’ve noticed that the arms aren’t spinning and only a little water is entering the washer during a cycle.

    Does anyone have any ideas about what’s wrong? I’m guessing that we’ll need to get an engineer to look at it. We live in the RG14 area.

    You could check the arms themselves for blockages Ian.

    The arms are “pushed” round by the water jets along the sides and at the ends, if you check all the holes that may solve it.

    Thanks Dave – checked the arms but there’s no blockages.
    Also called the guy you linked to but he doesn’t do diplomat dishwashers. He suggested that I call out an MFI engineer, but MFI’s phone lines aren’t exactly well manned, and I’ve had trouble getting through.

    Are there any other options open to me?

    I’m not sure if they are a UK Whitegoods member or whether they repair Diplomat to be honest.

    Failing that, MFI normally answer pretty quickly, they are on 08457 959722, is that the number you have ?
