Please help, a recent fault causing the circuit braker to pop, diagnosed to the stator windings on the motor, motor replaced, now however the problem is the machine spins at full speed whenever the drum is due to turn, even during slow(normal) washing cycles. Can you help? Is this a fault with the new motor, or did the original fault cause a problem with the control board? Thanks in anticipation.
Normally I would suggest that the tacho coil or magnet had failed. However as you have fitted a brand new motor that should not be the case.
There is a possibility that the pcb was damaged by your previous fault.
Thanks spanishwhite, I did read another reply suggesting the tacho coil, so I checked that and all was OK, additionally I replaced said tacho coil with the one from the old motor-no change in symptoms. So as you suggest it is probably the PCB, damaged during the original fault. Thanks again.
