My daughter took the inner glass door off her Canon Conniston to clean it and the catch fell down inside the door frame. How does she get the catch back into the right place? :boops: Maybe she shouldn’t have undone the screws holding the catch but she’s done it now. :rolls:

Cannon made by several manufacturers, model number might help. 😉

there is a cover at the bottom of door frame pillar, usually held on by a screw, remove this and will drop out, alternativly remove the top cover and use a telescopic magnet tool to retrieve it.

I’ve done it! Thank you washtronics. It was easy. Just needed the confidence to get the screwdriver out. My daughter is very impressed even tho’, perhaps because she had tossed the vital screws in the bin when tidying up. I was almost back on-line asking where to get replacements. Fortunately she retrieved them in time.
