    Hi

I’ve just noticed that our Bosch Exxcel SGS5362GB/01 has started making a new noise in the last month or so which it’s not done so for the last 5 years. I got the dishwasher second hand when I moved into my house 5 years ago from a friend so no idea how old it is. It appears to be washing things without major problems (apart from the new whirring noise) but wondering if this is a sign something is about to go wrong and hence something I should address now rather than later. Ideally I’d like the unit to last until I get round to replacing our kitchen which should hopefully happen in 6-12 months time.

I did take a recording which you can listen to here -> http://www.stormsail.com/dishwasher_noise.mp3

Anyone got any suggestions (other than buy earplugs and live with it). 🙂

    Cheers

    Andy

I resorted to taking the machine apart and found that the impeller seal had gone. This then caused water to drip onto the motor bearing which had rusted. Ordered a new impeller seal kit and also replaced the knackered bearing in the motor and everything hunky dory again.
