Ive just replaced a set of brushes in a WF02465 washing machine.
Set the prog to spin and 11 mins is displayed as the spin starts. When it counts down and gets to 8 mins, the display goes straight to 0.01.
I thought this indicated a heater fault, so replaced it, but now keep getting the same number come up.
Do I need to reset the prog? If so how?
    What have I missed?
    Help!

If the brushes were worn to the wire then the armature may have sustained some damage. Megger the motor, often they fail insulation test. Hopefully the motor is OK, then it is possible that if the machine was spun empty or the new brushes were sparking, the spin cancel can happen. If the brushes are sparking get the customer to use it several times to bed them in. Usually they will settle down and the machine will work as normal.

    HTH,

    Steve.

There is still a lot of arcing from the motor, it’s been run several times, I may strip it down and clean the armature.

May I ask what the meggered reading of the motor was?
