This machine is on a development that I dread going to, an old mill, converted into around 100 apartments, of various size, and internal design.
The one constant is that they all have Lux/Zanussi washer dryers and were all installed by some real bozo.

In the past i have stood by whilst customers have had to rip off skirting boards with a crowbar to then allow them to take up the laminated flooring, one had to saw several inches from the bottom of two door frames before we could get the plinth off.

This one is no different so I will have to return when it has been extricated. :rolls:

She said the machine tripped and then when trip was reset display was dead.
The mains light will come on but as there is no display I cannot even run the diagnostics. 🙁

What are the prime candidates for this fault, Im guessing motor, heaters, doorlock etc, and is it likely to have taken out the main pcb or just the display one?

    Jim.

I had one of these the other day with a dead display due to the dryer element being low, as soon as i disconnected it it all came back to life. saying that though it wasnt tripping the electrics. good luck.

That was going to be the first thing I check out, have fitted at least 3 dryer elements to machines in this complex already.
